Positions Available

Operations Manager – Evening & Weekend Shifts


  • Lead and supervise staff during evening and weekend shifts, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing queries with a blend of professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Strictly enforce all policies, safety protocols and conduct regular safety checks.
  • Manage and secure daily transactions, and ensure the premises are secure at the end of the day.
  • Handle scheduling for staff to cover all necessary shifts, optimizing coverage and efficiency.
  • Serve as a role model in customer service, work ethic, adherence to operational standards, and fostering a positive work culture.
  • Oversee Front Desk operations, monitor performance, provide feedback, and escalate significant issues to owners.
  • Address escalated customer complaints and incidents with discretion and effective management.
  • Conduct daily reports for delinquency and collections.
  • Participate in the hiring process, from interviews to decisions, and manage new hire orientations and ongoing staff training.
  • Direct retail transactions, merchandise exchanges, returns, and oversee inventory entry.
  • Identify and resolve maintenance and cleaning issues to maintain facility standards.
  • Assist in the bi-annual review process and regular meetings with owners to discuss facility improvements and team performance.
  • Engage in strategic planning and provide insights on operational improvements and opportunities.


  • Minimum of one year in customer service or hospitality.
  • Familiarity with Rock Gym Pro software is an asset but not required.
  • Availability to work predominantly night and weekend shifts.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and planning skills.
  • A commitment to learning and teaching indoor climbing safety and techniques, with a willingness to undergo in-house training.

Shift Leader

The management team at Fort Rock Climbing Center is expanding! We are in search of an energetic and committed individual to fill the role of Shift Leader. As a pivotal member of our management team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our center and leading our dynamic team.


  • Act as a primary point of contact for our members and guests, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Provide stellar customer service in-person, over the phone, and through email communications.
  • Master the details of our climbing programs and offerings to effectively guide customers.
  • Organize and staff events, meetings, classes, and instructor-led climbing sessions.
  • Plan and oversee local and brand-wide events, including climbing competitions and community gatherings.
  • Maintain rigorous standards of safety, cleanliness, and compliance with all Fort Rock Climbing Center’s policies and procedures.
  • Train and supervise Team Members, Instructors, and Belayers.


  • Flexible in adjusting schedules to accommodate gym events or additional coverage as needed.
  • Availability on weekends, evenings and holidays is essential.
  • Proactive and capable of making confident decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and strong leadership skills.

Climbing Attendant

Provides general climbing instruction and guidance in a fun, enthusiastic, and safety-focused environment. Encourages members and guests to further develop their climbing abilities and physical fitness. Grows and maintains impactful connections with members. Provides excellent customer service and climbing instruction.


  • Explains and demonstrates correct usage of climbing equipment and facility features in a fun, safe, and encouraging manner.
  • Monitors climbing area to ensure safety procedures are adhered to by climbers and spectators
  • Assists with leading and/or coordinating rock climbing classes, events, and Open Wall
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the climbing area
  • Maintains member files and waiver forms
  • Communicate with supervisors about any necessary repair and maintenance issues.
