Auto-Belay Climbing

Your first climb.
Starts here.

Eight auto-belays. Routes to grow into. Start with a staff orientation, then find a challenge that feels right for you.

Find your way up

The simplest place to start your climb.

An auto-belay manages the belay system as you climb and descend. After a required staff orientation, choose a route that matches your comfort and ability. You don’t need to bring a climbing partner.

Climbing involves risk. Follow the staff orientation, posted rules, and activity requirements throughout your visit.

01

Get oriented

Meet with the team before using an auto-belay. Learn the connection procedure and required checks.

02

Find your fit

Staff can help with rental shoes and a properly fitted harness. Ask for assistance any time you need it.

What to expect

Two minutes,
then climb.

Auto-belays hold the rope for you, so you do not need a partner and you do not need to know how to belay. A short orientation and you can climb any auto-belay route in the building.

Auto-belays are the reason you do not need to bring anyone with you. Coming on your own is normal here.

01

Complete your waiver

Every climber needs one. Doing it before you arrive saves time at the desk.

02

Take the orientation

Two minutes with a staff member covering how the auto-belay works and how to clip in.

03

Pick a route

Auto-belay routes run from 5.6, which is genuinely easy, to 5.13, which is not.
