Youth group
night out.
A climbing night where everyone takes a turn and everyone cheers. Staff run it, so leaders can be with their students.
Church youth groups
Youth leaders are always looking for an outing that gets everyone involved, the quiet kids included. Climbing does that. Everyone takes a turn, everyone cheers, and everyone has a story on the drive home.
Fort Rock hosts church youth groups for evening and weekend outings. Our staff run the session from orientation to the last climb, so leaders can spend the time with their students.
It is a good fit for a welcome night, an end-of-term celebration, a leadership team outing, or a reward for a group that has served all year.
Middle and high school groups get the most out of the full-height walls, and the indoor playground next door suits younger children’s ministry groups.
Climbers, belayers and the cheering section. Nobody sits on the sidelines for long.
Open until 9pm Monday to Thursday and 10pm on Friday and Saturday.
Time on the mats between climbs is when the best conversations happen.
What it costs
$25 per climber per hour, with a 10-climber minimum. A group session normally runs two hours, and staff instruction, harnesses and climbing shoes are included.
Climbers under 14 need an adult with them, so bring enough leaders for younger students. Group bouldering is for climbers 14 and over.
The climbing center is open Monday to Thursday 11am to 9pm, Friday 11am to 10pm, Saturday 9am to 10pm and Sunday 9am to 6pm.
How booking works
Your group’s name, a contact, how many are coming, their ages and the date you have in mind. You will get a straight answer and a quote.
Every climber needs a waiver, signed by a parent or guardian for anyone under 18. Doing them online beforehand keeps check-in quick.
That covers check-in and gear. Staff then run one orientation for the whole group before anyone goes up.
