Thirty-two foot walls, friends on the rope and a real challenge. Indoors, air conditioned and open into the evening.
Things to do for teens
Teenagers are hard to impress and quick to get bored. A climbing gym is one of the few places they will happily spend an afternoon, and one of the few where their phones stay in their pockets.
Fort Rock’s walls go up to thirty-two feet, with routes from easy to properly hard. Teens can climb the auto-belay walls on their own, learn to top-rope with a friend, or work out a bouldering problem on the lower walls over thick mats.
It is social without being forced. Friends take turns, compare routes, and spend as much time talking on the mats as climbing. And it is all indoors and air conditioned, whatever the Fort Myers weather is doing.
No experience needed. Most teens who climb here have never climbed before.

Routes are graded from beginner to expert, so there is always a harder one to try next time.
Until 9pm Monday to Thursday and 10pm on Friday and Saturday, so it works after school and on weekend nights.
What it costs
A kids day pass for climbers 14 and under is $20, and an adult day pass is $30. Both include climbing shoes, with a harness for $5 more.
Teens who want to come back every week can join: the kids membership for 14 and under is $49 a month, and students with a valid student ID can get a student membership for $50 a month.
All the prices and passes are on the climbing rates page.
For parents
Every climber under 18 needs a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian, and doing it online before the first visit saves time at the desk.
Climbers under 14 need an adult with them. Bouldering for under-14s also needs a separate orientation and a form signed by a parent or guardian.
Staff give every new climber an orientation before they go up, and the auto-belay walls catch and lower a climber automatically. More on climbing for kids and teens
Before you come
Anything else, just call. We would rather talk it through than have you guess.
