Team building in Fort Myers

Trust, built
one rope at a time.

Climbing is one of the few team activities where everyone is genuinely relying on someone else. One person climbs, one holds the rope, and the rest of the team is shouting advice from the ground.

That is why it works for a team day. It is cooperative rather than competitive, nobody needs experience, and the people who never speak up in meetings are often the ones who get furthest up the wall.

Our staff run the whole session. They teach the fundamentals, set the group up on walls that suit a first-timer, and keep it moving, so your organizer can climb too instead of managing it.

Fort Rock hosts companies, hospital and clinic teams, sales teams, offices and staff groups of all kinds. Groups of any size can be arranged.

01

No experience needed

Auto-belay walls mean nobody has to hold a rope on their first climb. Most of a team is climbing within twenty minutes of arriving.

02

Everyone has a role

Climbers, belayers and the people cheering from the mats. Even those who would rather not climb stay part of it.

03

Walls up to 32 feet

Easy routes for the cautious and hard ones for the competitive, side by side, so the whole team is challenged at once.

What it costs

Simple group
pricing.

$25 per climber per hour, with a 10-climber minimum. A group session normally runs two hours, and staff instruction, harnesses and climbing shoes are included.

Weekday slots suit most company groups and are the easiest to schedule. The climbing center is open Monday to Thursday 11am to 9pm, Friday 11am to 10pm, Saturday 9am to 10pm and Sunday 9am to 6pm.

Group bouldering, the lower walls over thick mats, is for climbers 14 and over. Tell us your headcount and the date, and we will send a complete quote.

How booking works

Three steps
to a team day.

01

Send us the basics

Your group’s name, a contact, how many are coming, their ages and the date you have in mind. You will get a straight answer and a quote.

02

Waivers before the day

Every climber needs a waiver, signed by a parent or guardian for anyone under 18. Doing them online beforehand keeps check-in quick.

03

Arrive 15 minutes early

That covers check-in and gear. Staff then run one orientation for the whole group before anyone goes up.

Before you come

Quick
answers.

Anything else, just call. We would rather talk it through than have you guess.

Ask the team
What should people wear?

Clothes they can stretch in, like gym clothes. Climbing shoes and harnesses are provided. Skip jewelry and anything loose.

Is it safe for people who have never climbed?

Yes. Every group gets an orientation from our staff before anyone goes up, and the auto-belay walls catch and lower a climber automatically.

What if some of the team do not want to climb?

That is fine. Belaying, spotting and cheering are part of it, and people often change their mind after watching a colleague go first.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can, especially for evenings and weekends. Weekday daytime slots are the easiest to find.
