Field trips
and group visits.
School field trips, homeschool co-ops, scout troops, church youth groups and company team days. A weekday slot, your group in the building, and staff running the session.
One booking, one group
School field trips, homeschool co-ops, scout troops, church youth groups and company team days all book the same way here: a weekday slot, your group in the building, and staff running the session.
A group visit is not the same as everyone turning up on day passes. The session is set up for your number, staff run the orientation together rather than one family at a time, and the group gets a predictable start and finish so a bus or a schedule works.
Both sides of the building take groups. The climbing center suits school-age children through adults. The indoor playground suits younger groups, and a mixed-age group can use both.
Call to set a date and a number. The climbing center is (239) 990-7430 and the playground is (239) 922-7158.

Weekday blocks for a co-op or a group of families. Fort Rock is an approved Step Up For Students provider, so instructor-led time can be paid from a student's Personalized Education Program account.
Badge work, a troop night or a youth group outing. Harnesses, shoes and the orientation are handled here.
Climbing works for a team because it is cooperative rather than competitive: somebody holds the rope while somebody else does the hard part. Groups of any size, by arrangement.
What to tell us
Most of a group booking is settled in one phone call if you have these to hand.
How many people, and their ages. That decides which side of the building suits you, and how many staff we put on it.
Which weekday, and what time you need to start and finish. Groups go in outside the busiest public hours wherever possible, which means a quieter session for you.
Whether you want climbing, the indoor playground, or both.
Whether anyone in the group has climbed before. It changes nothing about whether you can come, but it changes how the orientation is run.
Before you come
Anything else, just call. We would rather talk it through than have you guess.
Ask the teamYes. Weekday group bookings on either side of the building, staff-run, with a set start and finish so transport and timetables work. Call (239) 990-7430 for climbing or (239) 922-7158 for the indoor playground.
It depends on the day and which side of the building you want. Tell us your number and the date and we will tell you straight away whether it works.
Yes, and this is one of the more common group bookings. Fort Rock is an approved Step Up For Students provider, so instructor-led time can be paid from a student's Personalized Education Program account. Your scholarship funding organization approves each purchase.
Yes. Climbing suits a team day because it is cooperative rather than competitive. Call the climbing center and tell us your numbers and the date you have in mind.
A completed waiver for every participant, which is quicker done online beforehand, and clothes they can move in. Climbing shoes and harnesses are here. The playground needs non-slip socks.
